Prelude 12/21

Why do you cast your spell of love upon me?
To see my writhe in front of you?
Dearest love, you are very fleeting

Dearest love, why do you make the pain so heavy? Yet you make the enjoyment just as fullfilling
I'd do anything to be in love always

Is it too much to ask to be your slave, dearest love?
Or is it just for the weak at heart?
Bright love, thee wears thou name etched on my love-giving heart
I praise you and show off your name steadfast as if thou was art

Dearest love, lend me thou ears to where you can hear the song of romance.

During our Christian Life subject, our beloved Sir Jet Villafuerte made us watch the Passion of the Christ. It was a really moving film. If Im not mistaken its the only film we actually WATCHED. Well duh, who would actually watch a film made in 1980s that talks about germs living on our foods. Seriously. Theyre messed up for making us watch that one. But yeah, the Passion of the Christ definitley moved if not all, the majority of the class. We were driven with complete guilt and regret with each merciless whip. Each wound represents our sins.

    Mercy.

Thats what we asked for during the time we were watching the "scourging at the pillar" scene. I heard my classmate Yuki saying "ANO BA YAN! TAMA NA! SUS NAMAN OH! TAMA NA!" She was referring to the ruthless attempts of the jews to punish Christ. Shes right. If the officer havent asked them to stop, they wouldve killed him. Mercy. They showed none of it.

Pontius Pilate actually showed Christ even a little bit of mercy. You need to have courage to actually show your mercy. Mercy and Compassion are two different words. Mercy is a state of mind. Compassion is a state of mind bounded with actions.

So the next time you say that you pity the poor, think again. They dont need pity. What they need is your acts of kidness, love, and compassion.

What follows as the whitest lace of light
    just begs to be imbrued?
